More changes

Well a few things have changed since I last posted. I am now enrolled in school, and I moved in with a friend from my ward. I moved out of my 1 bedroom apartment in a run town part of town to a very nice home in a great neighborhood. My friend gave me the Master Bedroom and it is almost as big as my living room and dining area were in the apartment. I have my own bathroom and it has a tub with jets. It is very quiet and peaceful here.

Will has come to live with me and Ashley is living with her Dad. I miss spending time with Ashley, but I am hoping that things will get better in the future. We seem to butt heads a lot and I think that her new Step Mom has quite a bit to do with that. I just plan to love her and spend time with her when I can.

Today is the Fourth of July and I worked all night last night so I slept in until almost 2 this afternoon. There is a big fireworks show that is put on by some members of our ward and the people I am staying with decided to make a big feast for that family as a way of saying thanks for doing the show each year. I went out to 'the farm' and played some games and helped serve the food, then we all watched the fireworks together. It was a nice evening, and the wind actually blew a little bit so it wasn't as hot as it could have been.

New Job

So, this is my second week at my new job. I really enjoy it. The residents in the house are very sweet and accepting and I enjoy interacting with them. I am getting used to sleeping during the day and I don't feel tired all the time. They have a nice workout room in the house, so I have been using the treadmill. They also have a WII fit and I have used that as well.

I have been really working on eating better and losing weight. I am down another size so I bought a new pair of jeans this past week....that felt good!! I still have quite a way to go until I am happy with my size.

I will be starting on line classes on June 8th. I have been filling out all kinds of forms to get my financial aid in order. I am going to start out by getting my associates degree in general studies, and then I will decide which direction to go from there. It has been so long since I was in school I want to have a chance to get in the swing of things before I make a carreer decision. I am leaning toward something in Medical management or the Legal field.

So, Jim is getting married this Saturday. I am glad he found someone that can make him happy. I am just a little concerned about how the kids will handle gaining a step Mom. My kids have always been loving, and accepting, so I think they will do well. I am a bit freaked out by the idea that he is getting married a week and 5 days after our divorce was final........but I am sure he knows what he is doing.

I think I am going to sign up for dance lessons. There is a new dance studio downtown that offers classes. I have not checked into the cost etc, but I am going to do that soon. I always loved dancing when I was single and Jim was not a dancer, so I haven't danced in almost 20 years. I think it would be a nice way to get in better shape and learn a new hobby.

This weekend I had a visit from my sister Rebecca and my nephew Mason. We had a really nice time 'catching up' and laughing like we were kids again! Mason is such a cute little man and was a joy to have around. Becky has been very supportive to me and I really love and appreciate her!!

I am entering a new phase of my life and so I decided to start a new blog. I am in the last year of my 30's and at the end of a 20 year relationship. I plan to spend the next phase of my life getting to know who I am and what I like. I want to spend time developing and improving myself. My kids are growing up and entering new phases of their lives to. I am excited to discover the future together and see where we end up.

I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and has been right beside me during this whole process. He has been there for me and taken care of all my wants and desires. I have been blessed with wonderful friends and family that have supported me in my decision to move on with my life. I am so thankful for all the blessings I have in my life!!
